Two Way Baby Monitor Blocks Of Flats

Using a One Way or Two Way Baby Monitor In Multi Unit Housing.

Parents, with the craziness of modern life, often turn to technology to help them. This help comes in the forms of devices that can make one’s life easier and more productive . This is vey true for a one or two way baby monitor which are used by parents to watch over their babies. But they have their limitations. In the case of using baby monitors in multi unit housing with a dozen or more owner/tenants, the devices may encounter several problems which include interference.

Resolving Wireless Baby Monitor Interference
Baby monitors help parents watch over their babies. But they rapidly become annoying when you encounter interference. Baby monitors, specifically wireless ones, may experience a lot of interference especially when you live in condos/apartments/flats ie very close to other tenants. The chances of interference are doubled if the next-door neighbors also make use of wireless devices (such as baby monitors.)

Fortunately, there are several ways on how to resolve interference issues when using baby monitors in this situation.

1) Change The Frequency of Your Device
Most baby monitors have the ability to change frequencies. This will often solve the interference problems. It's not difficult....it is as easy as just flicking a simple switch or turning a dial.

2) Proper Location
Wireless baby monitors will react with other wireless devices. To prevent this interference, place the baby monitor as far away from other wireless devices as possible. This includes wireless phones, cell phones routers and microwaves.

3) Prioritize Your Baby Monitor
Many people stop using the other device but sometimes you have to use the device that is causing the interference. Maybe it's the microwave that is your only cooking source. Whatever it is just be aware that when you use that device it disrupts the baby monitor...and either limit its use/unplug it or keep an extra vigilant eye and ear out for your baby. Many people have found that if you switch on the baby monitor first, it helps the monitor get the best reception. Switch off the home cordless phone , switch the monitor on, and then turn the phone back on.

4) Go Digital
The latest technology has spawned a new breed of one and two way baby monitors – digital. These baby monitors have been made to prevent wireless interference. This may cost a little more than the analog versions, but if you have the budget opt for digital.

Tips When Using Baby Monitors in Multi Unit Housing
1) Don't rely totally on the monitor. Your personal supervision is still very important as all the competing wireless devices could suddenly begin affecting teh monitor without you realizing.
2) Just the same as with anything electronic, do not let your baby monitor, either the transmitter or receiver, get in contact with water. These devices will cause a shock.
3) Always follow the manual or an instruction booklet included by the manufacturer.
4) Treat the receivers with care, they are portable but often suffer the most wear and tear as a result. Remember they can and do break.

These are just some of the things you can do to resolve interference when using baby monitors in blocks of flats. They may not work 100% of the time but they will definitely minimize interference issues.
